UWell Caliburn X FAQ

Summary of Key Points:

  • The UWell Caliburn X offers several new features for the Caliburn lineup, including an OLED screen, variable wattage, aluminum alloy construction, and an improved ergonomic design.
  • The Caliburn X uses USB-C fast charging and has an integrated 850 mAh battery. A full charge can last for over a day of vaping, depending on the output settings you use.
  • The Caliburn X is also compatible with Caliburn G series coils. To help your coils last longer, always prime them before use, avoid sweet e-liquids, and do not chain-vape.
  • The Caliburn X is ideal for e-liquids with a roughly even PG/VG ratio. Avoid liquids with too much PG, as they can be thinner and may leak from the bottom of your pod.

The UWell Caliburn X is an exciting step forward for the popular brand, thanks to its ergonomic design and powerful battery. It’s also the first device in the Caliburn series to be designed with a screen. The Caliburn X is often described as an upgraded version of the Caliburn G, since it uses the same pods and shares several of the same key features. However, it also has a few distinct traits of its own, so the U Vape team is here to answer your most frequently asked questions about the Caliburn X and empower you to get the best experience from this device whenever you use it.

Can I Use a Different Charger to Charge My Caliburn X?

We advise you never to use a charger other than the one that came with your device, since that’s what it was designed to work with. Users who attempt to charge their Caliburn X faster by using a charger with higher voltage can damage the sensitive electronic components in their vape device.

How Long Does a Full Battery Last on the Caliburn X?

The battery life of the Caliburn X will depend on your usage habits, since it’s a variable wattage device. In most cases, you should be able to vape for longer than a day on a single charge—and since the Caliburn X also has pass-through charging, you can keep vaping even while it’s plugged in.

  • Pressing the fire button three times while the device is on
  • The wattage on your device’s screen will start blinking
  • Press the fire button while the wattage is blinking to raise it
  • Press fire twice in a row to lock the settings

  • Wattage
  • Volts
  • Resistance
  • Puffs

How Long Will My Coils & Pods Last?

The coils that are compatible with your Caliburn X should each last for 20-25ml of e-liquid, depending on your usage habits and the specific e-juice you choose. To help your coils last as long as possible, always

  • Prime new coils before use
  • Avoid mega-sweet e-liquids
  • Steer clear of chain-vaping

What E-Liquid Should I Use with My Caliburn X?

The Caliburn X works best with e-liquids that have a roughly even PG/VG ratio. The 1.2 ohm coil supplied with the device is excellent for mid-strength salt nic e-juices, and the 0.8 ohm coil can be used with freebase e-liquids and lower-strength salt nic juices.

What If My Caliburn X Leaks?

The Caliburn X is designed to minimize the potential for leakage, but there are several ways to make your device leak by using it other than as intended. Avoid doing the following:

  • Drawing too hard: the Caliburn X is designed to provide a medium-tight draw, so drawing too vigorously can force e-liquid into the mouthpiece before it has a chance to vapourize properly.
  • Using PG-heavy e-liquids: In some cases, users have reported thin e-juices leaking from the bottom of the pods in their Caliburn X devices. E-liquid with high PG content is usually on the thinner side, so it’s best to stick with liquid that has a more even VG/PG ratio.

How Should I Prime the Coil in My Caliburn X?

To prime a new coil for use in your Caliburn X device, put 4-5 drops of e-liquid on it and wait 5-10 minutes before using the device. This will give the wick time to become properly saturated, and reduce the risk of accidentally burning out your coil too fast.
