- The Aegis Legend 2 offers adjustable airflow, combining direct top airflow and top-to-bottom airflow for a smooth draw and effective cloud production.
- Equipped with dual 18650 batteries, the device provides impressive battery life, often lasting more than a full day on a single charge, even with regular use.
Gone are the days when cloud-chasing meant you needed to carry around a vape the size of a fire extinguisher—at least, that’s what Geekvape seems to be trying to get across to us with the Aegis Legend 2.
This is apparently a lightweight DTL vaping machine that produces major vapour, so our team unboxed one to find out if it delivered on that lofty promise. Here’s what we found.

First Impressions of the Aegis Legend 2
Look & Feel
The Aegis Legend 2 grabs attention right from the start with its eye-catching yet practical design. In particular, the silicone coating and leather backing make for a classy look and a comfortable grip.
We’re also big fans of the color screen, which you can customize to match your style and mood—it’s big and bright enough to read easily, even in direct sunlight. And speaking of the elements, this device has an IP68 rating, which means you should be able to take it camping or to the beach without worrying about ruining it. Nice touch!
We like the long sliding button that locks the device as well—it feels like an elegant way to prevent accidental firing (as opposed to many other devices, which just do away with the firing button altogether).
Finally, it’s worth noting how light this is for a dual-battery mod, which makes it a surprisingly comfortable companion for on-the-go vaping. All green flags so far!
Device Setup
Inserting coils into the Geekvape Cerberus SE sub-ohm tank is simple. Just unscrew the base of the tank, insert the coil, then screw the base back on. Remember to prime the coil with a few drops of e-liquid before inserting it!
Filling the tank is also easy, thanks to the top-fill design with large fill holes. This design allows for a mess-free experience and accommodates most e-liquid bottle nozzles.
As for the time it takes to charge the Aegis Legend 2, it’s pretty typical for this kind of device—you can get it nearly full (around 80%) in about half an hour using the supplied charger. Note that you may want to charge the batteries externally, as this is both faster and better for the long-term health of 18650 batteries.
At a Glance:
- Mix of silicone and leather exterior makes the device comfortable and classy-looking.
- Inserting coils and filling the tank is super straightforward and intuitive.
- You can get an 80% charge in 30 minutes using the supplied charger (consider charging externally).
Using the Aegis Legend 2
Flavour Profile & Strength
When you pair the Aegis Legend 2 with the Cerberus SE sub-ohm tank, you get a lot of flavour. Pop a 0.2Ω or 0.25Ω coil in there and you’ll be all set for DTL vaping—big clouds with a big taste to match.
For the best results, only use freebase e-liquids in your Aegis Legend 2, as salt nic liquids are inadvisable in sub-ohm systems. You’ll probably want to opt for e-liquids with a higher VG content as well, since these coils are designed to handle thicker juices and produce more vapor. This will help make your clouds thicker, too.

Draw Quality
We’ve already talked about the way this vape tastes—but airflow is also a critical part of the draw quality for any vape (especially one geared towards DTL) so it’s worth diving a little deeper into how this works for the Aegis Legend 2.
You get a combination of direct top airflow and top-to-bottom airflow here. Essentially, air enters from the two small vents on each side of the device and flows past the coil before coming up through an aperture to exit the mouthpiece—which basically eliminates the risk of e-liquid entering your mouth and also provides a ton of vapour for cloud production.
Airflow’s adjustable, too. This is more so that you can dial in your DTL preferences than experiment with MTL though—so if you’re looking for that, you might want to try something like the UWell Caliburn A3S.
Longevity
You get a lot of mileage out of the dual 18650 batteries in the Aegis Legend 2. It’s not uncommon to get over a full day per charge here, even if you’re using the device quite regularly.
At a Glance:
- Aim for e-liquids with a higher VG concentration for bigger clouds.
- Adjustable airflow is great for customizing your DTL vaping experience.
- You’ll likely get more than a day of use when the device is fully charged.
