ElfBar MoonNight 70K Review

ElfBar MoonNight 70K Review

Summary:

The ElfBar MoonNight 70,000 is a long-lasting, draw-activated disposable designed for daily vapers who want strong, consistent flavours without the need for pods. It offers an intense throat hit, curved 3D display, USB-C charging, and comes in 15 different fruit-inspired flavours.

ElfBar MoonNight 70K Review

ElfBar's MoonNight 70K uses the same 20mL tank you'll see in plenty of disposables, but it's built to last far longer than most budget bars, and that's exactly what daily vapers are looking for right now. The built-in Freshness Guard system is designed to keep the flavour steady right up until the final puff.

Most high-puff devices hit hard flavour-wise at the start, then gradually lose power and become bland as the coil wears down. The MoonNight 70K aims to solve that problem without asking vapers to give up fan-favorite features like adjustable intensity levels or a full-screen display with graphics.

But does it really deliver on that promise? We tested a couple of their top flavours to find out.

First Impressions

Pulling the MoonNight 70K out of the box is always a little bit surreal because it almost looks more like a smartphone at first than a disposable vape. It still has that same classic 80-gram weight, ergonomic design, and contoured mouthpiece as ElfBar's other high-puff vapes, and that's not a bad thing.

The 70K was already partially charged when it arrived, but we did charge it to maximum before testing it out so we could get a better idea of just how long the battery lasts. The smart display on the front really is pleasing to look at and makes the vape feel a little more high-tech than it really is.

We love that ElfBar went beyond just the standard real-time battery and e-liquid levels by adding a planetary graphic on the top half of the LED display. We'd love the ability to add or upload your own designs, but that's probably asking a lot for a budget disposable like this.

Charging and Setup

We found the MoonNight 70K Disposable's USB-C fast-charging port under the sticker on the bottom of the vape. The setup process couldn't be any simpler. Just peel away the seals and silicone mouthpiece, turn it on, and take a draw. The screen will flash on anytime you use or charge it automatically.

Using the Device

Draw Quality & Taste

The MoonNight 70K's flavour lineup includes a shortlist of 15 flavours. At the time of testing, every single flavour was either directly inspired by fruit (like Mango Peach Watermelon) or icy and fruit-adjacent (like Miami Mint). Whether or not ElfBar plans to expand the list for this model later on wasn't clear.

We personally tested Blue Razz Ice and Grape Raspberry to get a sense of how the device performed and tasted across each category. In both cases, the dual mesh coil fired up immediately and produced a strong, punchy hit of flavour with a fairly intense throat hit and big, voluminous clouds.

Performance and Modes

MTL and RDL hits stayed smooth, solid, and predictable across all three modes. The flavour itself doesn't change much, only the intensity, and that's not a bad thing. Experienced vapers shouldn't have to stay in Boost mode just to get a decent hit of flavour unless they also want a stronger throat hit or more nicotine.

Blue Razz Ice was the only exception. Some of us found the flavour almost too aggressively sour and icy on DTL pulls when in Boost mode, but this probably comes down to personal preference. There are plenty of people who would consider that a selling point!

Screen and Controls

The MoonNight 70K uses a full-screen front display that feels a lot more polished than the narrow side screens on older models like the GH20K. It’s bright and easy to read, the graphic looks stylish and futuristic, and you can check your battery, e-liquid, or intensity settings quickly and easily anytime.

But don't let the 70K's flashy LED screen fool you; it's just as easy and straightforward to use as its predecessors. It's fully draw-activated except for the mode button on the base.

Pro Tips for Vapers

  • Storage: Always keep your vape in a cool, dry, dark place between uses.
  • Portability: Rotate between Eco, Normal, and Boost to balance flavour output and battery life.
  • Coils: Let your vape rest during long RDL/DTL sessions to avoid overheating it or burning it out.
  • Longevity: Use Eco or Normal for all-day vaping to get the most life out of your disposables.
  • Maintenance: Pop the mouthpiece plug back in to keep out debris when you aren't using it.

Frequently Asked Questions About the ElfBar MoonNight 70K

Can I switch modes while inhaling?

You can, but nothing will happen until the next pull. Mode changes only register when you press the button, and if you're in the middle of a pull, you're already working off the draw-activated sensor. This reduces the risk of accidentally swapping into Boost mode mid-puff.

Is the MoonNight 70K loud when you pull on it?

No. Some vapes are noisy, but other than a very light hissing noise from the air coming into the vape, it's quiet enough to use in almost any situation.

Does the flavour change much between modes?

A little, but the flavour is still really present no matter which one you pick. You'll get the lightest, cleanest pull on Eco mode and a much stronger throat and chest feel on Boost mode.

What does change considerably is the density of the vapour. We don't recommend running DTL pulls on this one unless you really feel you aren't getting enough from MTL and RDL draws, because it will almost certainly make you cough.

Should You Buy It?

The MoonNight 70K is a great choice if you want a long-lasting disposable that you can tweak a bit without needing to carry extra pods or switch them out. If you're already a fan of ElfBar's flavours, there's nothing about this one that you really won't like and you should absolutely go for it.

What we do recommend keeping in mind is the fact that ElfBar's flavours tend to run bold, especially in Boost mode. If you're someone who finds really intense vapour too irritating in general, start in Eco mode and avoid taking big rips until you're sure it's right for you.

Buy It If:

  • You want bold, consistent flavours that don't drop off halfway through the tank.
  • You like being able to customize how you vape to how you feel in the moment.
  • You prefer the portability and ease of use that come with most disposable vapes.
  • You want a vape that's going to last you up to a month, so you have to switch out less often.

Main Use Cases

  • All day use
  • Travel or long workdays
  • High-intensity sessions
  • Backup device with reliable capacity

Price and Value

You can expect to pay around $35 for ElfBar's MoonNight 70K, but this is one example of when you're really getting what you pay for. The high estimated puff count and strong flavour mean most people only ever have to vape on Eco or Normal to feel satisfied, which makes it last longer.
