As always, the U Vape team unboxed one of the Caliburn G3 Pro vape devices to test it out and see how it compared to its predecessor. Here are some of the differences and highlights we noticed.

The Caliburn G3 Pro kit has your basic essentials that come with most UWell products. The Pro costs $5 more than the G3 and is available in 6 colours: emerald green, pacific blue, rose gold, midnight black, space gray and stone gray.

When you first open the Caliburn G3 Pro, you’ll immediately notice some physical upgrades from the G3—not only with the refined zinc-alloy material but also with the first-ever full LCD screen. The G3 had a small OLED screen down toward the bottom, but this new display screen is super impactful and dynamically displays all your vaping details like wattage, battery level, coil information and more.

The display screen helps customize the vaping journey for users via the large trigger button. The screen displays: power adjustment, battery indicator, resistance (depending on the cartridge inserted), auto-record puff and 3 trigger lock modes: trigger button only, auto draw only and auto mode (both on). It also displays important warnings as well like low battery, vape draws over 8 seconds and atomizer short or no atomizer.

With each new Caliburn model, the battery capacity has gotten an upgrade. The Caliburn G3 Pro is no exception—enjoy longer vape sessions with a 1000 mAh battery, which can be fully charged with the type-C charger in just an hour. The wattage output has also increased to 35W max compared to the G3’s 25W max.

One thing we noticed in the G3 Pro compared to the G3 was the e-liquid capacity is actually a little smaller. The G3 Pro holds 2ml of e-liquid compared to the G3’s 2.5ml of e-liquid. It’s not a large enough difference to be mad about, but it was just an interesting find.

Similar to other UWell devices, the G3 Pro also comes with a top fill system. Simply lift the mouthpiece to fill up the pod with your e-liquid. You can also order replacement pods here. It’s the same offering as the G3—a 4-pack of pods available in 0.4ohm, 0.6ohm, 0.9ohm or 1.2ohm resistances.

Now that we’re locked and loaded, let’s break down what we noticed during our vape session:

Airflow Controls

Something that stood out to us with the Caliburn G3 is the new fine-tuning airflow control. This allows you to tailor your vaping preference more precisely and conveniently. You can switch between auto mode and air activation by pressing the airflow button twice. By pressing the button three times, you’re able to adjust the device voltage from 5W up to 35W for an extra boost of power.

Device Battery Life & Performance

When you’re ready to turn off the device, simply press the airflow button five times to shut everything down. As we mentioned earlier, the G3 Pro has a higher battery capacity of 1000 mAh, which is an upgrade from the G3’s 900 mAh. The longer battery life paired with the integrated mesh coil means you can create clouds of delicious vapor for longer periods of time.
