First Impressions of the UWell Caliburn G3 Pro Device

From the moment it comes out of the packaging, the G3 Pro feels like a more advanced version of the G3. It’s still slim and pocketable, but the new LCD display is a standout upgrade—clear, bright, and full of useful info (wattage, battery life, puff count, and coil resistance). The zinc-alloy body feels sturdy, giving the device a more substantial and premium feel.

Key Points:

  • Full LCD screen with live data
  • Refined, durable zinc alloy body
  • Compact and high-end feel

Charging the UWell Caliburn G3 Pro for the First Time

Charging the G3 Pro is simple: just plug the USB-C cable into the port located at the bottom of the device. It charges in roughly 60 minutes and the 1000 mAh battery is big enough to give you a full day of use—assuming you’re using it mostly for moderate vaping.

Key Points:

  • USB-C port on bottom
  • Full charge in ~1 hour
  • LCD displays charge level clearly

Preparing the Pod in the UWell Caliburn G3 Pro

The G3 Pro uses the same pods as the G3, which is great for backwards compatibility—no need to change over to a whole different pod ecosystem if you’re upgrading. These top-fill pods also make refills easy and convenient—just pop off the mouthpiece to access the fill port.

It’s worth noting that the G3 Pro holds 2 mL of e-liquid, which is slightly less than the G3’s 2.5 mL. However, the difference is so minor you’ll be unlikely to notice it much in day-to-day use.

You have a couple of different options here in terms of the coil resistance in your pods, but here are some that we recommend for different styles:

  • 0.4 Ω: Warmer RDL hits
  • 0.6 Ω: Balanced daily vaping
  • 0.9 Ω or 1.2 Ω: Smooth MTL hits and when using nic salts

Key Points:

  • Uses Caliburn G3 pods (top-fill design)
  • Wide coil range for MTL or RDL

Using the UWell Caliburn G3 Pro

Draw Quality & Taste

As with other more recent vape devices in the Caliburn series, the Pro-FOCS coil tech delivers crisp and satisfying flavour. This is particularly evident when using it for MTL vaping on the 0.9 Ω coil. However, there’s nothing wrong with using this device for RDL, either—especially when you dial up the power a bit, which is now adjustable up to 35W. That’s a pretty noticeable upgrade over the Caliburn G3, which only went to 25W at maximum.

You can activate the device by inhaling or pressing the button—whichever you prefer. Most users will probably settle on one method predominantly, but it’s nice to have both options. Once you’ve made your choice, you can get into fine-tuning the airflow to customize your draw more precisely.

Airflow & Controls

Airflow control on the G3 Pro is a bit more refined than previous models—just slide the side lever to open or restrict the amount of air that’s able to come through the mouthpiece.

The rest of the controls here are pretty simple and intuitive. Just press the button:

  • 2x to toggle between draw and button fire
  • 3x to adjust your wattage
  • 5x to turn the device on or off

We like the layout of the LCD screen on this model as well, which makes it really easy to see and change settings without guessing or squinting to find the info you need. Screens can make or break a device, but this one’s a worthwhile feature.

Key Points:

  • Dual activation (draw or button)
  • Slide-to-adjust airflow
  • Adjustable wattage (5–35W)
  • Full-color screen for clear info

Pro Tips for Using the G3 Pro

Here are a few tips from the U Vape team to help you get the most out of using the G3 Pro:

  • Match wattage to coil: Use 30–35W for 0.4 Ω pods; 15–20W for 0.9–1.2 Ω
  • Top-fill cleanly: Tilt the pod slightly when filling to avoid spills
  • Lock it on the go: Using the 5-click lock feature can help avoid pocket misfires
  • Charge before you reach 10%: This helps preserve long-term battery health
  • Use thinner juice for higher resistance pods: 50/50 VG/PG for best coil longevity

Should You Buy the Caliburn G3 Pro?

The G3 Pro is a big step up from most basic pod systems, especially if you want more control without moving into mod territory.

Final Thoughts on the UWell Caliburn G3 Pro

The Caliburn G3 Pro gives you more control, more feedback, and more flavour than the base G3—without making things complicated. The screen, airflow precision, and higher power ceiling make it one of the most capable pod systems in UWell’s lineup.

If you’re ready to move up from a minimalist device but don’t want the hassle of a full mod, this is a fantastic in-between option.
